Wood, rock and more wood

The built-ins are, well built.  Kim and I also painfully put in the ledger stone.  That job just about did me in!  The cabinets are going to be painted canvas like the kitchen cabinets.

I have the floors installed in the kitchen and dining area.  I still have another 200 or so sq feet to install in the hall and butler pantry.  Anyone need a engineered floor stapler.. I have one to borrow now.

I roughed in the kitchen cabinets... man do they look nice.  And the draws shut as smooth as sh!t out of a gooses @ss.  The uppers will go in once we have the counter tops install since we have an appliance garage that needs to sit on top of the counters.

Tile is almost done, and other things

As of Monday the first floor tile work is complete.  The floor tile turned out great, considering I had to cut all but 3 tiles... 4+ hours for a 6x6 floor!.  I am all tiled out!

Built-ins are going in. The only part left is to finish the mantel.  I am installing the rock face this week. Kim will paint it later.  We are painting it Canvas (off-white) to match the kitchen cabinets.

The dark stain is applied, just some poly left.  (Kim's fun job).  The dark is better then I expected. The first floor is completely painted.

Next up for this week/weekend......

- Rock the fireplace
- Install the wood floors on the main floor (600 sq f)
- Buy a 50' TV for our new built-ins
- If I am really on top of it, start installing the Kitchen Cabinets so we can order the counter tops.

Disco House - Lots of tile going in

 Just finished up the master bath tile last night - the only tile work left are the two walk in showers and the main floor bath... not so excited about the showers!

Tile and cabinets are installed in the boys bathroom.  One upper cabinet is left to install after the counter tops are in.  There will be two sinks and a full mirror above the counter with two wall sconces

My favorite feature is the mudroom with a 'drop zone' for all our stuff like mail, wallets (empty after this house) phones etc...   Nothing messy should make it into the kitchen.   Tile floor is also done.  The boys bath and the mudroom are the only two rooms with Java cabinets, the rest will be canvas/alpine white.

One of the two walk in showers.  They are both prep and ready for tile.  Half the tile is in the garage calling my name!  The one pictured below will also get a frame-less door, the master will just have a walk in. 

Next up for the week of October 3rd - Finish up ALL tile by the end of the weekend... My hands will be soooo glad!
